Investing in People, Building the Port of the Future
Ten staff members of the Port Authority of Limbe are currently undergoing specialized professional training in Tangier, Morocco, to qualify as Harbor Officers and Port Masters. The program is part of a broader capacity-building initiative aimed at strengthening technical expertise and operational competence in modern port management and maritime operations. This opportunity reflects the continued commitment of the Administrator and Director Delegate of the Port Authority of Limbe, Dr. Thomas Ndive Molungu, to human resource development and institutional excellence efforts that are laying the groundwork for Limbe's emergence as a key maritime hub in the region.
Training Progress Theoretical Phase Completed — 8 June 2026
The participants successfully completed one month of intensive theoretical training in Maritime Operations, marking the transition into the program's practical phase.
Practical Phase
The practical training spans 14 days and is delivered in two rotating groups of five staff members each. Both groups alternate between hands-on sessions in Maritime Operations and in Safety and Security, ensuring that every participant gains direct experience across both disciplines.
