PAL Officially Installs Staff Representatives and Hygiene, Sanitation & Safety Committee in the Presence of Labour and Social Security Officials
On behalf of the Director General of the Port Authority of Douala, the Director Delegate of the Transitional Administration of the Port Authority of Limbe Dr. Thomas Ndive Molungu, today, 8th April 2026, officially installed the Staff Representatives of the Port Authority of Limbe, alongside members of the Hygiene, Sanitation and Safety Committee, at the AT/PAL Conference Hall.The ceremony took place in the presence of the Divisional Delegate of Labour and Social Security for Fako, as well as the Inspector of Social Affairs and Social Security.During the installation, the Director Delegate charged the newly elected Staff Representatives, as a social body, to be exemplary leaders of outstanding character. He urged them to act responsibly and to always place the interest of the company at the forefront of their mission.He further expressed his readiness at all times to welcome the Staff Representatives for open and constructive dialogue, which will contribute to advancing the Port Authority to greater heights.

Port Authority of Limbe Receives Delegation from National Hydrocarbons Corporation (SNH)
The Port Authority of Limbe, under the Transitional Administration, today welcomed a delegation from the National Hydrocarbons Corporation (SNH), led by Mr. Ndikum Jude, Deputy Head of the Douala Unit. The purpose of the visit was to engage with stakeholders on the availability of land space for potential multiple integrated investment projects. The delegation was received by Dr. Thomas Ndive Molungu, Director Delegate of the Transitional Administration of the Port Authority of Limbe. In his remarks, Dr. Molungu presented a concise overview of the institution’s historical background, operational activities, and future prospects.
The meeting was highly interactive, providing a platform for both parties to exchange ideas and explore avenues of collaboration. Following the session in Limbe, the delegation proceeded to the Tiko Terminal. Tiko Port Holds Working Session on Waste Management
An ongoing working session is currently being chaired by Dr. Njie Makolo Joseph, Terminal Head of Tiko Port, with a focus on strengthening waste management practices at the Tiko Port Terminal. The meeting seeks to improve waste handling and disposal methods while reinforcing environmental compliance within the port area. The initiative is part of broader efforts to ensure a clean, safe, and sustainable port environment. In attendance are key stakeholders, including the Chief of Service for Maritime, Environment and Safety of Navigation, the Chief of Post for Environment at Tiko Port, maritime agents, the President of Tiko Port Dockers, and staff of the Port Authority of Limbe. The session highlights the Port Authority’s commitment to environmental stewardship and operational excellence, with participants actively engaging in discussions aimed at identifying practical solutions and collaborative strategies for effective waste management.

International Women’s Day 2026: PAL Women Participate in Sports Activities
As part of activities marking International Women’s Day 2026, observed under the theme “Rights, Justice and Action for All Women and Girls,” women of the Port Authority of Limbe actively participated on Saturday, 7th March 2026, in a series of sporting events organized in Limbe. The day began with a sports walk led by the Senior Divisional Officer for Fako, starting at the Women Empowerment Center and passing through Half Mile and New Town, before concluding at the SDO’s Office at Down Beach. Following the walk, the women continued the celebration with a mini handball tournament, bringing together teams from PAL, ENEO, and CSPS at the CSPS Military Base. These activities provided an opportunity for participants to promote wellness, team spirit, and solidarity, while celebrating the important role of women in society.

As part of activities commemorating International Women’s Day, women of the Port Authority of Limbe carried out a “Keep Limbe Clean” campaign at Down Beach, Limbe. This community initiative aims to reduce pollution and enhance the aesthetic beauty of the Town of Friendship, while raising awareness on the importance of environmental protection and sustainable living. Through this action, the women of the Port reaffirmed their commitment to positively impacting the community, promoting values of environmental responsibility, solidarity, and sustainable development. Women from Tourism and Leisure Delegation Visit Tiko Terminal for International Women’s Day
As part of activities marking International Women’s Day 2026, women from the South West Regional Delegation of Tourism and Leisure paid a visit to the Tiko Port Terminal. The delegation was warmly received by the Terminal Head, Dr. Njie Makolo Joseph, together with his collaborators. During the visit, Ms. Banta Witney and Mr. Akol Mailley delivered a presentation highlighting the historical background and operational functionality of the Tiko Terminal. This was followed by a guided tour of the terminal facilities, including an onboard experience aboard the vessel Everest 1, which offered the visitors firsthand insight into port activities and operations. The visit concluded on a positive note, with the Regional Delegate for Tourism and Leisure for the South West expressing appreciation for the experience. She commended the leadership and administration of the Port Authority of Limbe under the stewardship of Dr. Thomas Ndive Molungu, applauding their commitment to excellence and collaboration.

Joint PAD/ATPAL Teams Hold Working Session on 2026 Budget Development
The Transitional Administration of the Autonomous Port of Limbe convened a joint working session with teams from the Port Authority of Douala (PAD) and the Autonomous Port of Limbe (ATPAL) at the Main Office conference room. The session focused on the elaboration of the 2026 budget framework. Chaired by Mr. Zaboto Joseph, Technical Advisor No. 03, the meeting addressed three key agenda items:
- Presentation of the budget execution for the first nine months of the financial year 2025.
- Presentation of the 2026 Action plan.
- Presentation of the draft budget for the financial year.
The session provided an opportunity for technical teams to review financial performance, align strategic priorities, and ensure that the proposed budget reflects the operational needs and long‑term objectives of the institution. This collaborative exercise underscores the Transitional Administration’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and sound financial planning in the management of the Autonomous Port of Limbe.

CAFSHIP Explores Investment Opportunities at the Port of Limbe
The Port Authority of Limbe (PAL) welcomed a courtesy visit from CAFSHIP, a potential investor eager to explore opportunities for collaboration and development at the port.
In the absence of the Deputy Director, the Head of Department received the delegation and conveyed the Managing Director’s strategic vision for the Port of Limbe. Discussions centered on practical arrangements to support and guide CAFSHIP’s proposed investment projects, underscoring PAL’s readiness to facilitate meaningful partnerships.
Following the meeting, the delegation traveled to Idenau, where engineers from ATPAL provided a detailed presentation of the terminal site from the seaward side. The technical briefing highlighted the port’s specifications and future potential, offering CAFSHIP valuable insights into the infrastructure and operational capacity of the facility.
At the close of the day, the visiting team expressed renewed determination to advance their business plan, strengthened by the professional and insightful exchanges at PAL.

Republic of Türkiye Ambassador Visits the Port Authority of Limbe
The Port Authority of Limbe (PAL), under the auspices of its Director Delegate, Dr. Thomas Ndive Molungu, today received in audience the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Cameroon, H.E. Volkan Oskiper. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Melih Artunay, Country Director; Ms. Olcay Akay, Project Coordinator; Mr. Ahmet Donmez, Media and Communication Officer; and Mr. Sami Ileri, Security Officer.
This courtesy visit provided an important platform for dialogue and collaboration, as both parties explored avenues to strengthen bilateral relations and identify areas of mutual cooperation. PAL Personnel Undergo Specialized Training in France to Strengthen Maritime Signaling Expertise
The Port Authority of Limbe (PAL), under the leadership of its Deputy Director Delegate, Mr. Nyamba Mbgatou Abdoulaye, has embarked on a specialized technical training program in Auray Brech, France, aimed at enhancing the skills of its personnel in preventive and corrective maintenance operations. The program also focuses on identifying the causes of equipment breakdowns and malfunctions, ensuring that PAL staff are equipped to uphold world‑class standards in port operations.
Hosted initially at Paris Montparnasse before continuing in Auray Brech, the training forms part of PAL’s broader commitment to capacity building and operational excellence. Over the course of the sessions, participants are introduced to advanced modules covering the knowledge and management of Electronic Signaling Means (ESMs), which are critical to safe navigation in port and coastal environments.
Day 2 of the program concentrated on Module 2: Knowledge of Different ESMs, with an in‑depth review of the various equipment and systems used in maritime signaling. Participants explored both floating and fixed ESMs, learning about their functions, deployment conditions, and operational relevance. The session also covered the principles of buoyage lights, sector lights, and directional lights, emphasizing their vital role in channel marking, hazard indication, and overall navigation safety.
The day concluded with an overview of connectivity tools, underscoring their importance in monitoring, control, and maintenance of aids to navigation. This component reinforced the need for integrated systems that guarantee reliability and efficiency in maritime signaling operations. By investing in this advanced training, PAL is equipping its workforce with the expertise required to support effective navigation safety and maintain operational excellence. Prime Minister Visits the Port of Tiko
On September 26, 2025, the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute, carried out a working visit to the Port of Tiko in the South West Region. He was warmly received by the Governor of the South West Region, Mr. Bernard Okalia Bilai, alongside the Senior Divisional Officer of Fako, Mr. Engelbert Viang Mekala, divisional officers, elected officials, and traditional rulers.
The visit formed part of the government’s commitment to modernizing port infrastructure across Cameroon. At Tiko, the Prime Minister inspected the rehabilitation and reinforcement works on the 3 km access road linking the port to the town. This project, executed under the Port Authority of Limbe, is designed to ease cargo movement, improve safety, and strengthen the port’s role in regional trade.
In his remarks, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Port of Tiko is one of five major port projects in Fako Division prioritized by the government. He noted that the upgraded road and related infrastructure will not only facilitate business operations but also increase state revenue and create jobs for local youth, thereby contributing to the socio‑economic development of the region. The visit was marked by vibrant community participation, traditional dances, and strong local support, reflecting the importance of the port to both the economy and the people of the South West Region.
